Steal This Page is a deliberately simple internet experiment: the entire homepage belongs to one advertiser at a time.

How it works

The first placement starts at $1. After that, the minimum takeover price is always $1 more than the current owner paid. A buyer can pay that minimum or choose a higher whole-dollar amount. The new buyer gets the homepage; the previous owner keeps a backlink in the public history for as long as the service operates.

Why?

Because the internet has enough dashboards, feeds and ad slots. This is one page, one message and one obvious question: who will steal it next?
